Waycor History

Waycor Materials, Inc. was created in the first quarter of 1999 with Oldcastle’s acquisition of three locally owned Albuquerque companies: American Building Supply; Waycor Redi-Mix; and Albuquerque Rock Products. The three companies were combined and were operated as Albuquerque Rock Products DBA-Waycor until the name was officially changed to Waycor Materials, Inc. in 2003.

Waycor Materials, Inc. is a supplier of ready mixed concrete and all types of sand and gravel that is used in concrete, asphalt, and landscaping. Waycor operates two concrete plants in Albuquerque, one concrete plant in Santa Fe, and an aggregate facility located near Algodones, New Mexico. The market areas served by Waycor Materials, Inc. include the greater Albuquerque metro area, the greater Santa Fe area, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Belen, the East Mountains, and aggregate shipments as far as Grants and Gallup.

Waycor services all segments of the market, from the slab being poured by a homeowner,
to the Big I reconstruction project, which was the largest and most technical concrete project ever let in the State of New Mexico at the time.

Waycor prides itself in providing an excellent product, in specification, and on time. Most importantly, Waycor strives to provide the “safest” workplace for its employees so that they may return home to their families in the same condition that they report to work each day.
